Lowell wrestling is a school sports team that competes in the CIF wrestling league. Wrestling is one of the oldest sports, and has been in the Olympics since the beginning. It is a competition between two athletes, competing to take down their opponent. A wrestling match consists of 3, 2 minute periods, with points being scored by taking down you opponent. These 6 minutes are the hardest 6 minutes of your life, and because of this wrestlers need to be in great shape. To do this we train constantly, every day, practicing and conditioning, both on our own, and at school. We are a one-on-one, full contact sport, that is part of a very tight knit community, who help each other out and push each other to do better, in both wrestling and in academics. Lowell wrestling is open to all takers.
