"Hi, This is kind of an odd suggestion but it regards reg reps. I was sad to see how reg reps were not even identified in the program at this past year's graduation. Many people don't think reg reps do a lot. Of course, they don't do as much as the students on LSA/SBC (thank you for all your hard work) but they still do a lot! They are constantly reminding their reg about upcoming events, getting their reg hyped up for those events, participating in the class fundraisers, etc. etc. yet they don't really get recognition for it. Also, I don't think LSA/SBC people realize that reg teachers often have the reps do so much more (conducting the dance nominations, coordinating reg sweatshirts, getting the mail/handbooks every day). I know my reg rep tries really hard to do all of the above. She even won our reg bagels for raising the most $$$ out of all the regs in a See's Candy Fundraiser. Ok, now on to my suggestion. I think it would be great if the reg reps could receive some kind of identification at graduation. I'd suggest chords, a sash (I'm not saying they have to be more prominent than the LSA/SBC ones), SOMETHING they can wear for their 4 full years of service. Please greatly consider this. There are only 40 reg reps at most so I don't think it would be a big sacrifice in terms of budget. I hope this will be sincerely taken into account. Thanks for listening, and sorry for the long suggestion!"
RESPONSE: Hey there! I totally hear you out, especially because all you guys get is a dot on your name haha!! Customization for such sashes are pretty expensive, and I'm actually not sure if the students order it themselves or not. But I definitely agree that Reg Reps should get some recognition. I think that really depends on the class board budget if they have enough left over after paying for graduation. I'll bring it up the classes and maybe they can pool together some money and make something sweet happen! We're always here to listen, and it's a very great point. We'll keep you posted!
