Hey guys! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 1st in Rm 339 at 3:40 pm! Hope you guys can make it!
Meeting #2 recap:
In our second meeting, we watched a very moving video about Hepatitis B affecting real families, and how earlier awareness of Hep B could have led to earlier testing and could have saved many lives! Is this inspiration enough to join us in our goal to continue spreading awareness of Hepatitis B? :)
Anyways, hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. See you on Tuesday! :)
JRC (Jade Ribbon Campaign) is part of the Asian Liver Center of Stanford University. JRC was created in 2003 in order to spread awareness of Hepatitis B; as of 2013, 1 in 12 Asians have chronic Hepatitis B, making it of utmost importance to curtail this disease. The mission of Lowell JRC is to educate API (Asian-Pacific Islander) youth about the detrimental effects of Hepatitis B. In our club, we organize and create fun outreach events and activities that will ultimately educate us and the Lowell and San Francisco communities, and improve our leadership skills. We also have fun group activities that will engender bonds between members, and will create a sense of belonging. We are one, big family! Join JRC today!
