Hey guys! Our next meeting will be on September 17, 2013. Again, the meeting will be in Rm 339 at 3:40 pm. We hope you guys can make it!
Meeting #1 info:
So in our first meeting, we all introduced ourselves and got to know each other a bit. The JRC co-presidents also talked about our club's mission to spread Hepatitis B awareness and about plans for outreach events for this year. If you missed the first meeting, you should definitely come to the second meeting, which will be next Tuesday, September 17, in Rm 339.
All are welcome :) Hope to see you there!
JRC (Jade Ribbon Campaign) is part of the Asian Liver Center of Stanford University. JRC was created in 2003 in order to spread awareness of Hepatitis B; as of 2013, 1 in 12 Asians have chronic Hepatitis B, making it of utmost importance to curtail this disease. The mission of Lowell JRC is to educate API (Asian-Pacific Islander) youth about the detrimental effects of Hepatitis B. In our club, we organize and create fun outreach events and activities that will ultimately educate us and the Lowell and San Francisco communities, and improve our leadership skills. We also have fun group activities that will engender bonds between members, and will create a sense of belonging. We are one, big family! Join JRC today!
