Founded in 2010, over 3200 students have been part of Heart in Motion. Together, we have delivered over 103,751 hours of community service to nonprofits and local events. Heart in Motion brings youth together, encouraging neighborhood activism and commitment to community service. Members come from various schools, joining forces to benefit their neighborhoods. Our members experience the satisfaction of giving back to the community, and can be rewarded with the prestigious PVSA, a nationally recognized award for the hours of hard work you put into volunteering. We support local nonprofits, neighborhood fairs, and athletic events that shine a positive light in our community, allowing local and national charities to get the funding they need. We also offer a Leadership Program, which offers the opportunity to develop new skills in managing a non-profit, developing character and revealing officers’ potential, providing them with a chance to learn leadership and responsibility skills. Through this in-depth program, interns and officers learn what it takes to be successful in their lives and how to make a positive impact, not only in their communities, but the world. Meetings are at 3:45 PM in Room 338.
